Although I have been passionate about photography for nearly 15 years, I’m excited to celebrate 10 years in business this summer!
In a nutshell, here are some things I love:
Family, Photography, New Music, Adventures, Vacation, New Socks, Making A Difference, Kids, Chocolate, Long Drives, Warm Beaches, True Stories, Good Movies, Finding Better Ways To Do Things, Doing Things I’ve Never Done Before, and Delicious Food.
A little about me:
I’m a father of 5 gorgeous kids, who, along with my wife, are the center of my life. I take pride in providing the best experience for your wedding as I possibly can. My love for photography developed at the University of Utah in 1997 where I started with film and developed my own black and white images. Since then, the industry has come a long way, so has equipment, and so have I. Wedding photography has a special place in my heart. Being around you on your special day usually makes me come home feeling a renewed appreciation for my own wife and family, and I think that is a gift. I feel it is a privilege to be a part of the greatest, most memorable, day of your life.
So whats in the bag?
I have shot primarily Nikon for my entire career. Currently I carry two full frame, high resolution cameras; the Nikon D810 and the Nikon D800. I have additional back ups as well. Having a back up camera is ESSENTIAL. In Jan of 2016 I had a camera malfunction while at the Salt Lake Temple. Being able to grab another full frame camera and continue shooting avoided what would have otherwise been a catastrophe.
I carry several top of the line lenses including Nikkor 70-200 mm f2.8, Nikkor 28-70mm f2.8, Nikkor 10.5mm Fisheye, Nikkor 50mm f1.8, Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro, Rokinon 14mm f2.8 Super Wide Angle, and others. I share this with you so you know that I use a variety of lenses to meet varied needs. From super close up images of rings to mood setting landscape context shots, I can choose the lens that the situation calls for.
At your reception, and frequently on engagement or bridal shoots, I regularly utilize studio strobe off camera flashes with battery packs. This helps the quality of the images and allows for some creativity that otherwise can’t be achieved.
If all of this seems like mumbo jumbo to you, no worries. The short story is… I have the stuff to get you amazing images.
